I build AI software that survives production.
I work across product, design, and engineering: figuring out what is worth building, then building and shipping it. Not the kind that demos well and falls apart in front of real users.
The throughline across everything I do is trust. How do you make AI-era output something a business, a search engine, and a customer can actually believe?

CertREV
I built CertREV from zero to revenue in three months as the sole engineer.
A SaaS platform that certifies AI-era brand content by matching it with credentialed, domain-specific experts. Built end to end in a modern TypeScript stack.

Decide what is worth building
The hard part is usually figuring out what to build, not the building. I start from the product and the user, not the feature list.
Build it and ship it
I use AI agents to move fast and stay on the hook for every line. The goal is shipped software, not a convincing demo.
Hand off something that lasts
I build with large language models in mind, so the codebase never becomes a black box. Your own team and agents can read and extend it long after the engagement ends.
It has to work when it is not a demo.
Most AI work looks great in a demo and falls apart in production. I build the other kind, hardening software to a degree that was not possible a couple of years ago.
Philosophy taught me to ask what's true. Engineering taught me to make it hold up.
I studied philosophy at Kenyon College, grounded in epistemology and trust. I spent my early career in marketing and operations, close to how brands actually win and keep customers, before I taught myself to engineer. The throughline never changed: how you earn belief.
That background is the root of how I work. I care less about output that looks impressive and more about output that holds up when someone checks.
Custom, per-brand software for consumer and wellness brands.
Software I built from the ground up, as the sole engineer, runs in production for these and other consumer and wellness brands, including one ranked among the 100 fastest-growing companies in the US. Zero-to-one builds, fractional and project engagements, fully remote from Boulder, Colorado.
“He's fast, exacting, thoughtful, and unflappable: a rare blend of creativity and rigor. Zero ego, high standards, clean communication. Give him a complex brief and a deadline; he'll make it clearer, build the path, and follow through. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat.”
“Owen consistently transformed complex ideas into clear, actionable content architecture. His briefs strike a great balance between strategic clarity and creative flexibility, making design collaboration seamless. His ability to keep multi-channel output cohesive and on-brand makes him an invaluable partner on any team.”
Let's talk.
If you are deciding whether to trust me with something that matters, the fastest way to find out is a conversation.
